Silvercel combines the potent broad spectrum antimicrobial action of silver with the enhanced exudate management properties of alginate technology. Silvercel antimicrobial alginate dressing is a sterile, non-woven pad composed of high tensile strength alginate, carboxymethylcellulose (cmc) and silver coated fibers. Contains elemental silver (8%) as a sustained release formulation. The sustained release of silver ions combats bacterial and fungal growth and may reduce infection in the wound.
