This Kidde Battery Operated Carbon Monoxide & 10-Year Smoke Detector Value Pack, model i1040, contains a Micro 4"" 10-year sealed battery smoke detector and a battery operated carbon monoxide alarm for your home's protection against fire, smoke, & carbon monoxide gas & uses ionization sensing technology to detect invisible fire particles (associated with flaming fires) sooner than photoelectric alarms to give you peace of mind in your home, RV, or mobile home. The 4"" Kidde smoke detector is small & discreet, so it fits in tighter spaces. Installation is easy, as the smoke alarm will automatically activate when it is attached to the mounting bracket (included) & the ten-year, sealed lithium battery requires no battery replacement over the 10-year life of the alarm. A red LED indicator light & an 85 decibel alarm will alert you to: Standby (flash every 40-45 seconds), alarm mode (flash every 1.5 seconds), Hush mode (flash for 1 second every 8 seconds), and memory set (flash rapidly when the test button is pressed). At the end of the smoke detector's 10-year lifespan, the unit will chirp to indicate that the smoke alarm needs to be replaced. Because this unit uses ionization technology, it is recommended for use in the living room, dining room, basement, or bedroom. 10-year limited manufacturer's warranty. UL Certified. The Kidde Carbon Monoxide Detector, Battery Powered CO Alarm with LEDs, Test/Reset Button, Low Battery Signal, model KN-COB-LP2, is powered by 2-AA batteries, which are included with the pack. Because this is a battery-operated carbon monoxide detector, it helps protect you and your family from the dangers of CO gas even during a power failure. Install one CO detector on each level of your home and in each bedroom to help keep your family protected.

Using sophisticated electronic technology, the carbon monoxide alarm senses the presence of poisonous gas and signals a warning with a loud, 85dB warning signal and LED indicators. A red LED will flash in unison with the 4 beeps of the CO alarm sounding. The green LED on the alarm will flash every 60 seconds to indicate the alarm is operating properly when power is present. The Kidde carbon monoxide detector includes a test/reset button to test the unit for proper operation and to reset the carbon monoxide alarm after it sounds. A low battery signal alerts the user when the batteries need to be replaced; the slide-out battery compartment on this carbon monoxide detector makes it simple to install fresh batteries.
