This composite island dressing maintains a moist environment and is non-adherent to tissue to reduce trauma to wounds. Multiple layers allow for absorption of exudate to reduce the need for dressing changes. The top layer allows for gaseous exchange while protecting the wound from contamination. Adhesive fabric tape is gentle to sensitive skin and conforms easily. It can be used as a primary or secondary dressing, ideal for cuts, burns, abrasions, ulcers, surgical incisions, and draining wounds.
