Traditionally, Christmas Puddings are prepared in British households on or around Advent. As the pudding is prepared, everyone in the household, including children, makes a wish as they stir the mixture. When the homemade pudding is ready, it is usually doused in rum or brandy and presented to the cheering family aflame.
