To create a strong bond along the underside of the seam where two G-Floor mats meet, durable, specially-formulated G-Floor Seam Tape is an outstanding option. G-Floor Seam Tape is a black, 4" wide, single-sided acrylic adhesive specially formulated to create a bond between two polyvinyl mats. This seam tape is a simple- to-use waterproof tape proven to be useful in garages, outdoor sheds, utility rooms, laundry rooms, trailers, modular units or any other place you want to extend the life of your flooring.

What is this Seaming Tape Made of?

Our unique seaming tape is made from strong fiberglass cloth with an acrylic adhesive that helps to create a permanent-like, durable bond between two G-Floor mats. The seam tape has adhesive on only one side, so it bonds on the underside without ever adhering to the floor below. G-Floor Seam Tape won’t stretch in high heat and withstands extreme cold. This tape seals seams and seals out water–indoors or out. What is Seam Tape and How should I use it?

G-Floor Seam Tape is 4 in. wide, single-sided, waterproof adhesive tape, applied on the underside of the flooring. Seam tape is commonly used to seam together two parking pads that are installed side by side. This allows the entire mat to freelay on your subfloor. We do not recommend using seam tape if piecing three or more parking pads together, as it could cause the middle mat to ripple.

Can mats eventually be separated once G-Floor Seam Tape has been used to join them together?

Should you wish to separate mats in the future, simply cut through tape along the seam to separate without damaging your polyvinyl mats.
