The main function of stair nose molding is to protect the exposed edges of the Hybrid-Resilient Flooring on stairs from wear and tear, and to prevent tripping hazards by providing a smooth, rounded edge that is easy to navigate. To ensure a waterproof installation, apply silicone caulking to the edge of the molding that will come in direct contact with the Hybrid-Resilient Flooring surface and immediately wipe away any excess silicone caulking.
