Iodosorb Cadexomer Iodine Gel is a sterile formulation iodine solution used to kill bacteria, manage exudate and debride wound bed. Intended for use on wet ulcers and wounds. When applied, Iodosorb cleans the wound by absorbing fluids, removing exudate, slough and debris while simultaneously forming a gel over the wound's surface. As the gel absorbs exudate from the wound, iodine is released, killing bacteria and changing color as the iodine is used up.
