NOW® Glucosamine & Chondroitin with MSM combines three of the best known nutrients available for the support of healthy joints in one dietary supplement. Scientific studies have demonstrated that glucosamine and chondroitin can promote normal joint mobility and comfort.
In 2004, NOW developed the Official Method recommended by the AOAC (Association of Analytical Communities) to measure the presence of glucosamine in dietary supplements. This method is still used by laboratories all over the world to identify glucosamine in supplements. This is the level of expertise NOW employs when assuring the quality of all our products. MSM is present as a naturally occurring sulfur compound for optimal nutritional support for the production of healthy joint structures.
NOW’s MSM is produced by a reaction involving sulfur and methane that is energy efficient. It is considered more environmentally sustainable than typical methods involving petroleum byproducts reacted with paper mill waste that requires large amounts of energy. Natural color variation may occur in this product.
Produced in a GMP facility that processes other ingredients containing these allergens. Made and quality tested in the USA in NOW’s Natural Products Association (NPA) A-rated, GMP-certified manufacturing facility. NOW conducts approximately 19,000 quality control tests per month in their in-house labs to ensure their products are safe and effective.
In taking more positive steps on their journey to reduce the company's environmental impact, NOW is starting the transition of their supplement bottles to 100% post-consumer recycled (PCR) resin in 2023. Replacing the NOW standard PET bottles with PCR resin allows the company to re-use recycled packaging materials and lighten NOW's footprint on the earth.
