Forget waxy, flavorless chocolate chips. We use a premium dark chocolate compound that is made to be eaten frozen, and add a lot of those chunks to freshly spun peppermint gelato. It offers a delightful crunch that melts quickly and cleanly on the tongue, releasing all its chocolatey goodness. In our freezer full of pints, this is always one of the first to go.
